Both Single vendor Marketplace and Multi-Vendor Marketplace have their own features. Nowadays people are giving more preference to Multi-vendor E-commerce business. In Multi-vendor we don’t find the feature as single vendor in which the single vendor e-commerce website, the vendor has full right to change anything according to his need and he has full access to the website. There is only less freedom in Multi-vendor Marketplace. All we going to do is register a profile and sell our products. But in Single-vendor we don’t have all these advantages.
Revenue in Single-vendor E-commerce business will be only for the entrepreneur only, but in the Multi-vendor E-commerce business, the revenue divided between Vendor and Admin which is considered as one of the main difference. In Multi-vendor business, the user can track for their products and they also get many price suggestions. So the end-user can pick the best price product. For Multi-vendor E-commerce,we need to pay a commission to the website's admin for getting registered. The commission varies in every marketplace depends on the percentage of commission. Multi-vendor E-commerce business examples include Amazon, eBay, Alibaba etc and They let anybody to sell and buy any product from their website and provides many choices or variants for a product.
Multi-vendor marketplaces involve the multiple sellers of a single product at a single shop-front. These advancements of technology take up the things online and people these days prefer visiting online marketplaces for selling and buying the things. An online multi-vendor marketplace have the capability that allows multiple sellers to sign up and add their products followed by admin’ s approval, and subsequently, sell those products with ease. More than one sellers may be selling a single product at different prices. Multi vendor e-commerce here the multiple sellers/vendors might sell products on a single portal/platform/website, So there can be cases where one products is sold by many vendors with same or different price. Some marketplace can have many stores such as bookstore, clothes store etc. Multivendor e-commerce is a revolution in which  with our online store various vendors from different geographical location get associated to sell their products while we will earn commission on the products sold , this model is called multi-vendor e-commerce.
